Rain didn’t stop play when I went to photograph this lovely family at their home in Northumberland. After taking some shots of the three boys indoors, the older brothers were impatient to get their wellies and coats on and head out into the garden. We’d only been outside for a short while, when the rain decided to get really heavy, and within minutes we were all pretty soaking.
I still managed to get some lovely relaxed shots of the family walking along the lane outside their house and perched on the big gate. We had hoped to have the beautiful Tyne Valley as a background, but this was not to be as it was shrouded in thick white mist! So I made a return trip a week later and was fortunate enough to have beautiful winter sunlight which made for some lovely shots outside. The two older brothers were real fun to be around, and it was great to be able to capture their distinctive personalities – thank you for making it such an enjoyable session!
