I had a fun evening photographing Waitrose‘s annual charity fashion show in Hexham. The store was supporting local charity Chrysalis at Tynedale, which provides support, social events and activities for people suffering from memory problems and dementia in the area.
The show was organised by Waitrose’s charity coordinator, Sarah Hollows, and supported by a host of local businesses, both on and off the catwalk. The sports hall at the Wentworth Leisure Centre was transformed into an amazing draped “marquee” complete with chandeliers, under which the staff from Waitrose strutted their stuff on the central runway.
A range of fashions was modelled, including menswear, ladies fashions and accessories, sports clothing, eye wear and stunning bridal gowns. Hair and make-up were provided by the talented team at Reflections hair and beauty salon. A full list of sponsors and exhibitors can be found below. The Hex Pistols quartet entertained guests during the break with their wonderful a capella close harmony singing, and Georgia Barbra, an extremely talented young singer, provided the vocals during the wedding show.
